Automation Opportunity Worksheet
Find repeated work that is worth automating and separate it from busywork that should stay human.
Use this before buying another tool or asking AI to solve a workflow problem.
Write down the repeated tasks your team handles every week: intake, scheduling, quoting, invoicing, reminders, reporting, status updates, file handoffs, and follow-ups.
For each task, note the trigger, the person responsible, the tools involved, the time spent, the mistakes that happen, and what a clean outcome should look like.
Good automation has a clear trigger, consistent inputs, a repeatable decision path, and a measurable benefit. Weak automation needs too many exceptions or creates more checking than it removes.
Automate the boring handoff, not the judgment. Keep people in control where context, trust, pricing, or customer experience matters.
